Alexander Has Arrived!

He's big (weighing in at 8'14") healthy and beautiful! There's nothing quite like a newborn baby. A miracle! A life created by God! Thank you, Lord, for another precious miracle added to our family! Welcome Alexander! Granny loves you so!

Big sister, Ryleigh's first look at her new brother. Precious.

Mama and Papa gazing lovingly at their new son.

Ryleigh said: "I'm holding him!"

Pop, Granny and Alexander.

This is our eighth grandchild. Each precious little one is a miracle and a blessing to us and our family. As with Ryleigh, I had the privilege to watch Xander make his entrance into this world. My heart is so full of love, joy and thanksgiving that it takes my breath away.
Thank you, Lord, for this miracle of life.

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Psalm 127:3

Out Of The Mouths Of Babes

I love recording little snippets of the conversations I have with my grands because children have an uncanny knack to know and speak the truth. Plus, they're my grandbabies and everything they say is amazing - at least to me!

So here's a recent conversation with our two-year old grandgirl, Ryleigh.

We were looking at a puzzle game which included images of sports balls. I held up the soccer ball, and said:

Who plays with the soccer ball, Ryleigh?

Ryleigh: Daddy.

JerseyGranny: Does Granny play with the soccer ball?

Ryleigh: No.

JerseyGranny: What does Granny do?

Ryleigh: Plays with grandgirls.

Who knows her Granny!

Wild Weber-Girl!

While babysitting our 2 y.o. Ryleigh recently, her hair elastic fell out of her silky fine baby hair and when I asked her to come to me so I could fix it, she bolted!

We actually had great fun chasing each other around the house until I was finally able to catch her and tame her unruly hair but not before I got a few pics of our precious, little wild one!

A Day At The Museum

What to do on a cold February day? Hit the Franklin Institute with my Cape May grands and their daddy (my son). We had the best time!

Sweet Naomi (who, along with yours truly) opted out of the Sky Bike ride.

Dad on the Sky Bike

Josh on the Sky Bike. He LOVED it!

The kids' favorite area of the museum was the Franklin Airshow.
Here's Hadassah (and Josh in the background) working an exhibit.

Naomi enjoyed the computerized airplane.

The Train - another favorite for Josh.

Josh says: This place is great! I'm gonna bring my kids here someday.
Granny: Can I come, too, Josh?
Josh: Sure, if you're still alive by then.

Just love these grands!

The Last Sleepover Before School!

Our *big girl* grandgirl, Amelie, was all ready to begin kindergarten and she wanted to eek in one more sleepover before the big day. She's such a good little planner! Part of her plan was to visit the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey. Saturday our itineray included fishing with Pop, lunch at McDonalds and a visit to an antique store. Enjoy the pictoral journey of Amelie's last sleepover before school!

We touched...'things'...

...like stingrays!

Facepainting!

Crafts!

Stylin' 4-D Glasses!

Touching...more...things.

In the shark tunnel!

Getting our feet wet in a fountain before heading home.

Scrubbing off the remains of the day with a bubble bath!

Chez McDonalds for lunch on Saturday.

Watching Pop bait her hook on her Barbie fishing pole.

She's getting pretty good at casting...just stand back a bit!

Disappointed because we didn't catch any fish. We knew just the remedy!

Cold Stone Creamery! Then it was off to the antique store where our princess picked up a vintage Barbie doll. We had a wonderful time!
